On October 14, 1986 at 1:37 p.m. Carolyn McComas, a bank employee, went to the ATM building on Maryland Route 40 at Lewis Lane in Havre de Grace, Cecil County, Maryland to service the machine. McComas serviced the ATM at the above location each day as part of her job responsibilities. McComas was confronted by an unidentified white male described as 6'2", medium build, well dressed with a black hair moustache. The unidentified shot McComas in a robbery attempt. A green van driven by a second suspect may have been used to leave the area.
