Cessna P210N

The Cessna P210N is a six seat, single engine, fixed wing airplane. It is used for many of the Command’s missions which do not require the vertical takeoff and landing capabilities or the specialized equipment of the helicopters. The Cessna can be operated for a fraction of the cost of the other command aircraft and allows the helicopters to remain in service for medevac and other missions requiring a helicopter.

The Cessna is used for many aerial law enforcement missions such as speed enforcement, surveillance, observation and patrol, photography, damage assessment, homeland security checks and others. The Cessna also performs many of the conservation and law enforcement missions of the Maryland Natural Resources Police. In addition to airborne law enforcement roles, the Cessna is utilized by the Command to rapidly transport mechanics, flight crew and other personnel, equipment and parts between Command sections, the Martin State Headquarters complex, and other maintenance facilities and parts suppliers.

The Cessna is available for missions in the support of allied agencies. Agencies who would like to request the use of the Cessna or would like additional information may contact the Fixed Wing section for more information and to obtain a copy of the mission request form at msp.fixedwing@maryland.gov.
