King Air 350

The King Air 350 transports over 130 prisoners per year, not only for the Maryland State Police, but other allied agencies as well. On more than one occasion we have transported violent prisoners who simply pose too great a risk to be taken commercially. Utilizing the King Air along with several officers for each prisoner guarantees sufficient restraint and order at all times and protects the public from having to be exposed to these criminals. A number of allied agencies that we fly have stated that their respective State's Attorney's Office have told them that they absolutely need to utilize Maryland State Police aircraft just to keep their office in operation, as their budgets are limited. Seventy percent of the extraditions are in support of Maryland State Police operations.
