Donna Riley was located by sticks off of Sunset Avenue in West Ocean City, Maryland. Investigators started the investigation as a homicide due to the body being hidden at that location. However, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was unable to find a cause of death and left the manner as undetermined. Investigation revealed the victim had been at a party in Ocean Pines and possibly died of a drug overdose at that location. However, due to the amount of decomposition, the drug overdose theory was unconfirmed.
