The body of John William Clark was located in the Potomac River about two miles east of the Maryland Route 522 bridge about two miles east of Hancock in Washington County, MD. The Medical Examiner revealed Clark died of a gunshot wound. It was alleged John Clark left Washington D.C. with a companion, however this person was never identified.
