On 6/30/1990 Knox was reported missing to the Accomac County Sheriff's Office in Virginia. Also missing was Mr. Knox's 1982 burgundy Chevrolet. The body of Knox was recovered on a dirt road off of Byrd Hill Road about 1 mile north of Stockton Road in Worcester County, Maryland. A suspect was arrested in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania driving Mr. Knox's vehicle. The suspect was indicted in this case however never charged. The suspect was convicted in two other murders in Virginia where he is serving a life sentence.
