The Homeland Security and Intelligence Bureau (HSIB) is divided into two Commands: the Criminal Intelligence Division and the Security Support Division. HSIB safeguards the State of Maryland by integrating intelligence, protective services and threat management into a unified, proactive command. Through timely information sharing, coordinated operations and strong partnerships with federal, state and local partners, HSIB proactively defends all citizens, critical infrastructures and public spaces by providing support to law enforcement agencies across the state with intelligence-led solutions to emerging threats.
