Our Mission

To ensure the Department’s compliance with the Governor’s Code of Fair Employment Practices and various Federal and State laws and policies prohibiting discrimination, harassment and retaliation in all aspects of employment, as well as create a work environment that reflects diversity, equity, inclusiveness and belonging.
  • To ensure the Department administers all personnel actions in a fair and equitable manner:
    • with just consideration given to merit, fitness, job performance, experience and qualifications; and
    • without regard to age, ancestry, citizenship, color, creed, marital status, mental or physical disability, national origin, pregnancy, race, gender, sexual orientation, genetic information or political or religious affiliation, belief or opinion.
