The Maryland State Police uses the National Police Officer Selection Test (POST) examination. Each section will evaluate a different critical job function which will be performed as a Maryland State Trooper. This nationally recognized examination is generally scheduled the same day as the FFAT.
The POST is made up of four sections:
- Mathematics
- Reading Comprehension
- Grammar
- Report Writing Skills
