On April 27, 1945 at 11:30 p.m. John Lloyd, a Constable for Frederick County, MD was sitting in a chair inside his sister's home on MD Route 464 about 1.5 miles outside of Brunswick in Frederick County, MD. An unidentified person fired a weapon through the window striking Constable Lloyd causing his death.
