Lori Zimmerman rode the school bus home from high school on April 6, 1984. She stopped at a friend's home for about ten minutes. Lori did not return home that evening. Friends of Lori's were contacted, but denied seeing Lori. Lori's mother filed a missing person report with Hagerstown Police Department. On April 14, 1984 two people walking in a wooded area off Reno Monument Road, about 3.6 miles south of Boonsboro, Washington County, MD discovered the partially clothed body of Lori Zimmerman.
