Baltimore Man Charged in Connection to Alleged Road Rage Shooting in Anne Arundel County

(LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, MD) – Maryland State Police arrested and charged a Baltimore man in connection with an alleged road rage shooting in Anne Arundel County Wednesday afternoon.

The accused is identified as Brandon Allison, 40, of Baltimore, Maryland. He is charged with attempted second-degree murder, loaded handgun in vehicle, and other related charges. He is currently at the Jennifer Road Detention Center, where he is held without bond.

At approximately 2:04 p.m. yesterday, troopers from the Maryland State Police Glen Burnie Barrack responded to the area of Outer Loop I-695 just before Maryland 295 for a report of a shooting. The preliminary investigation indicates that during an alleged road rage incident, the operator of a Chrysler Pacifica, later identified as Allison, fired a shot at a Honda Accord, striking the rear driver-side window. The sole occupant of the Honda was reported uninjured.

Investigators with the Highway Gun Crimes Initiative and officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department later located the Chrysler at a warehouse off Brandon Woods Boulevard. Allison was taken into custody without incident. A court-authorized search of Allison’s vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

The Maryland State Police K-9 unit and crime scene technicians from the Forensic Sciences Division responded to the scene to locate and process evidence. Officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department also responded to the scene. Personnel from the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration assisted with the road closure on I-695 that lasted approximately one hour.
