Maryland State Police Investigating Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash In Frederick County

(WALKERSVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday evening in Frederick County. 

The driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck, identified as Daniel Price, 60, of Biglerville, Pennsylvania, was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of a Toyota pickup truck, a 58-year-old man, was flown by Maryland State Police Aviation Command to a shock trauma center. 

Around 5:30 p.m. yesterday, troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack responded to northbound Maryland Route 194, south of Crum Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash. According to a preliminary investigation, the Chevrolet pickup truck, operated by Price, was traveling north on MD 194, when for unknown reasons, crossed over the yellow line and struck the Toyota head-on. 

Lanes were closed for approximately two hours for the crash investigation. The Maryland State Police Crash Team continues to lead the active and ongoing investigation.
